Karen Cassidy (née Owens), 4 Tivoli Park, Foyle Springs, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Karen Cassidy (née Owens), March 16 2026, suddenly at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of Michael, devoted mother of Oisín, Ruairí (Aoife) and Erin (Andrew) , cherished daughter of Michael and Rosealeen Owens, dear sister of Michael, John Paul (Jeanie) and Tina and a much loved aunt. Karen will be reposing in her home, 4 Tivoli Park, Foyle Springs. Funeral from there on Thursday at 10.50am for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St Eugene's Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 8.00pm to 12noon and on the morning of the funeral. Family Flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Friends of Altnagelvin (The Sperrin Suite) C/o Mr Peter Nicholl, MDEU Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Glenshane Road, Derry, BT47 6SB. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

Brendan Cooke, 21 Ervey Road, Eglinton

The death has taken place of the late Brendan Cooke, March 17 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Mairead, loving father of Jonathan, Audrey, Daryl and Rebecca, father-in-law of Susan, Dermot and Joanne, cherished grandfather of Adam, Cormac, Emily, Hannah, Georgia, Oisin, Daire, Jayden, Mia and Caden and a much loved brother and uncle. House private please. Funeral from his home, 21 Ervey Road, Eglinton, on Thursday at 11.30am for 12o'clock Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Damien Cooper, 200 Glebe Avenue, Coleraine

The death has taken place of Damien Cooper, March 17 2026, Peacefully at his home: 200 Glebe Avenue, Coleraine BT52 2EP. Beloved husband of Ann. Loving father of Gillian, Ashley and Marian, father-in-law of Neil and Ryan. A much loved grandfather of Christy, Caitlin, Mia and Cooper, and great-grandfather of Malachi. Dear brother of Uel and the late baby Christopher R.I.P. A loving uncle and cousin. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Wake will commence this morning (Wednesday, March 18). Funeral from his home; 200 Glebe Avenue on Friday, March 20 at 12.25pm for Requiem Mass in St Malachy’s Church Coleraine at 1.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. The death has taken place of the late Angela Devine (née Ward), March 16 2026, beloved wife of Eddie, loving mother of Ciarán, Orlaigh and Dylan, devoted grandmother of Tiarnan, Conan, Bradan, Caitlan, Daniel, Lauren, Ryan and Kayleigh and dear sister of Marie, John, Brian, Gerard, Martin, Veronica and the late Josephine, Bernie, Patricia and Margie. Angela will be reposing in her home, 2 Brickfield Court.  Funeral from there on Thursday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene's Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.  Family time please from 9.00pm to 12noon. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
