Derry man faces eight counts of driving while disqualified

A judge at Derry Magistrate's Court has said that a man was facing 'the most shocking charge sheet I have seen' when he appeared charged with eight counts of driving while disqualified. 

Anthony Deery (60) of Ballymagowan Gardens in Derry appeared charged with 8 counts of driving while disqualified on various dates between July 28 2025 and January 29 2026.

He was also charged with assaulting a police officer on February 29 2026.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges.

The case was adjourned until April 1.
