Jack Francis Byers, 20 Grasmere, Coleraine

The death has taken place of Jack Francis Byers, March 18 2026, (tragically, as a result of an accident), 20 Grasmere, Coleraine, much loved son of Fiona and Frank, dearest brother of Anna and a beloved grandson, nephew and cousin. Service of Thanksgiving in Causeway Coast Vineyard Church on Tuesday at 3.00pm. Family flowers only, please donations in lieu if desired for Community Rescue Service c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31, Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Very deeply regretted by loving family and entire family circle

 

Howard Richard (Rick) Marker, Meadowvale Park, Limavady

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Richard (Rick) Marker, Passed away peacefully at Rushall Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family on March 21 2026. Late of Meadowvale Park, Limavady. Much loved husband of Beth, loving father of Victoria and dear Father in law of Paul. Also a dear Brother in law and Uncle. (House Private) All welcome to attend the Funeral service held in Browns Funeral Home on Tuesday (March 24) at 11.00am followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 12noon. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Dementia NI and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21Aghanloo ind Est Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Rick will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

 

Very Rev Dr R S J (Houston) McKelvey OBE QVRM TD, (former Dean of Belfast), College Park, Coleraine

The death has occurred of the late Very Rev Dr R S J (Houston) McKelvey OBE QVRM TD, (former Dean of Belfast), late of College Park, Coleraine, passed away March 19 2026 (suddenly), Dearly loved husband of Roberta and much loved father of John and father-in-law of Catherine; adored Pappy of Patrick and Rory. Service of Thanksgiving in Agherton Parish Church, Portstewart, on Wednesday, March 25 2026 at 1.00pm,followed by a Private Cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if wished, for Belfast Black Santa Sit-Out, c/o Hugh Wade and Son, 3 Upper Abbey Street, Coleraine, BT52 1BF or online at www.hughwadefuneraldirectors.com. Lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

 

Joe O'Kane, Foyle Avenue, Greysteel

The death has taken place of Joe O'Kane, March 20 2026, peacefully at home, beloved husband of Cecilia, Foyle Avenue, Greysteel, loving father of Joe, Cecilia, Michael and Mary, father-in-law of Christina, Danny and James, devoted grandfather of Caitlín, Dan, Séan, James, Mairéad, Conor, Clare, Katie and Lucia and dear brother of the late Michael and Peggy. House private. Family, close friends and carers only please. Joe is reposing in his home. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12o'clock in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, Parkinson's UK. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
