Winifred (Winnie) Canning, 1 Tamlough Park, Ballykelly

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Winifred (Winnie) Canning, March 29 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved daughter of the late John and Rose, loving sister of Joanness, Sean and the late Mary Rose and Maureen Ann, sister-in-law of Dameon Boyle and Robert Warke, much loved aunt of Dameon, Maria, Gemma and Christopher and a cherished great-aunt. Winnie will be reposing in her home, 1 Tamlough Park, Ballykelly, BT49 9NS. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Finlough’s Church, Ballykelly. Interment afterwards in Enagh cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

 

David John (Jack) Christie, Moneydig Park, Garvagh

The death has taken place of David John (Jack) Christie, March 30 2026. peacefully at the Robinson Hospital, Ballymoney, Moneydig Park, Garvagh, much loved father of Edwin and Alistair, father-in-law to Helen and Gladys, dear brother of the late Maisie and a dear uncle. Funeral Service on Wednesday at 2.30pm in DJM Robinson & Son Funeral Home to First Kilraughts Presbyterian graveyard. Callers welcome at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7.00pm - 8.00pm. House strictly private. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Chest, Heart & Stroke c/o DJM Robinson & Son, 121 Culcrum Rd., Cloughmills, BT44 9DT. Lovingly Remembered. "The Lord is my Shepherd."

 

Robert (Bobby) Donnelly, 3 Earhart Park, Derry

Robert (Bobby) Donnelly, March 29 2026, peacefully at his home, 3 Earhart Park, beloved husband of the late Kathleen, loving father of Gavin, Bronagh, Roisin, Aisling, Kieran, Paul and the late Faustina and Ronan, devoted granda of Nicholas, Emma, Calvin, Eoin, Oran, Eve, Reuben and Conor and great-granda of Noa, Eden and Bobby, cherished son of the late William and Rose and a dear and loving brother and uncle. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Bobby will be reposing at his home on Tuesday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:20am to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

William Henry (Billy) Donnelly, Hillhead Road, Castledawson

The death has occurred of the late William Henry (Billy) Donnelly, March 29 2026, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital,  latterly of Drapersfield House Nursing Home and formerly of Hillhead Road, Castledawson. A dear Brother and Uncle. Wake and service details to follow. "The Lord is my Shepherd"

 

Liam Lynch, 12 Oakfield Avenue, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Liam Lynch, March 30 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of the late Anna (née McCartney), loving father of Liam and Damien, devoted grandfather of Sean, Gavin and Kay, dear father-in-law to Terri, son of the late William and Betty, cherished brother of the late Hugo, Dominic, Nuala, Christina and Helena. Loved and will be sadly missed by his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Liam will be reposing at his home, 12 Oakfield Avenue. Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. House Private From 10:00pm To 12:00noon. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Katherine (Kay) McGinty (née Lyons), 53 Whitehouse Park, Derry

The death has taken place of Katherine (Kay) McGinty (née Lyons), March 30 2026, beloved wife of the late Eddie, loving mother of Marie, Eamonn, Katrina and Norah, mother-in-law of Paul and David, devoted grandmother of Claire (Ronan) and dear sister of Denis and the late John, Jimmy, Mai, Michael and Nora. Kay will be reposing in her home, 53 Whitehouse Park, on Tuesday from 3.00pm – 9.00pm and on Wednesday from 3.00pm – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11.30am for 12o’clock funeral service in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Action Cancer. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.

 

Anthony O'Donnell, 1 Osprey Drive, Waterside, Derry

The death has occurred of the latre Anthony O'Donnell, March 28 2026 suddenly, loving father of Callum, Mia and Emmett, beloved son of Willie and Charmaine, dear brother of Neil, brother-in-law of Rebecca and sadly missed by Donna and all his extended family and friends in Derry and Manchester. Anthony will be reposing in his parent's home, 1 Osprey Drive, Waterside. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 1.30pm for 2o'clock Requiem Mass in The Church of the Immaculate Conceptions, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Ardmore. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

David Rickerby, 4 Clonsilla Drive, Macosquin

The death has taken place of David Rickerby, March 27 2026, peacefully at home in 4 Clonsilla Drive, Macosquin.
Dearly beloved husband of Anne, much-loved father of Cameron and Amy, father-in-law of Meah, granda of Ellington and Beau, brother of Sheila, brother-in-law of Gordon and uncle of Jennifer. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place in Macosquin Presbyterian Church, Coleraine, on Friday at 12.00noon. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Bridget “Bridie” Taylor (née Devine), peacefully at home on March 30 2026. May she rest in peace. Late of 20 Beechmount, Feeny, Co Derry. Loving mother of Angela and Sharon and devoted grandmother of Leah and Adriana. Daughter of the late Patsy and Margaret RIP and dear sister of Bernie, John and Annemarie. Fond sister in law of Terence, Martina and the late Gerard RIP.
