Planning Committee gives go ahead for 67 new homes at Magheramason

Derry City and Strabane District Council’s monthly Planning Committee has today given approval for the progression a major residential housing developments that will deliver 67 new homes in Magheramason.

Members of the Council’s Planning Committee approved the application for the construction of 67 dwellings with landscaping and ancillary works.

The development will include 7 detached, 54 semi-detached and 6 townhouses at 131 Victoria Road.

The application was welcomed by the Planning Committee who were unanimous in their support for the application, saying: “It represents another investment to the city that will assist in addressing the current pressure on the housing market.

"The Council is very much in favour of the creation of good quality, modern housing that is in keeping with our Strategic Growth Plan objectives. This development is a good news story for the Council area.”
