Frederick Dennis (Fred) Barrell, 15 Danny Boy Place, Limavady

The death has occurred of the late Frederick Dennis (Fred) Barrell, Passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family on April 2 2026. Late of 15 Danny Boy Place, Limavady. Much loved husband of Louie, loving father of Lisa (Stanley), Mark (Suanne) partner Lisa, Inga (David), Richard (Lynsey), Zelda (Phil). Devoted Grandfather and Great Grandfather. All welcome to call at the family home on Friday from 1.00pm onwards. Funeral leaving his late home on Saturday at 10.30am for service in Limavady Baptist Church at 11.30am. Followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 1.00pm. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to NI Childrens Hospice (Belfast) and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle. "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made Heaven and earth." Psalm 121 vs 1&2.

Evelyn Bryson (née Stanford), 4 Kimberley Hill, Kilfennan, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Evelyn Bryson (née Stanford), April 2 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, Loving mother of Nicholas and Kellie, A much loved Grandmother and aunt, dear sister of Walter and the late Agnes sister-in-law of Wilma. Eve's will be reposing at her home, 4 Kimberley Hill, Kilfennan. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11.00am to Lakelands Crematorium County Cavan for private cremation. Family time please 10.00pm to 11.00am. Deeply regretted and will be missed by all her family and friends and everyone that knew her. Peace Perfect Peace.

Gertrude Butler, 17 Mountjoy Street, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gertrude Butler, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on April 1 2026. Late of 17 Mountjoy Street. May she rest in peace. Beloved mother of Nathan (Meisha), Declan, Emily and Rebecca (Oran). Precious daughter of the late Nana and Tommy. Loving sister of Mary, John, Ruby, Declan, and the late Marius and Damien. A much loved aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends. Gertrude’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 17 Mountjoy Street from 4.00pm today (Friday, April 3). Funeral leaving from there on Monday, April 6 at 11:20am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of John James Doherty (JD), suddenly in Uganda, Africa on March 23 2026. Late of 8 Harty Court. May he rest in peace. Beloved father of John and Alex. Precious son of Margo and the late John James. Devoted brother of Michelle, Stephen, Elaina and Jodie. A much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, wider family circle and friends. John James’ remains will be reposing at his late family home, 8 Harty Court from 1.00pm today (Friday), April 3. The death has occurred of the late Sean McLaughlin, April 1 2026, beloved husband of Caroline, loving and devoted father of Josh, Luke and Alex, precious son of Celine and the late Paddy, dear brother of Kevin, Anne-Marie, Damien, Melissa and the late Martin and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Sean will be reposing in his home, 7 Carrowmullen Heights, Fahan, F93T6W2 on Friday and Saturday from 12noon - 8.00pm. House strictly private on Easter Sunday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 1o'clock in St. Mary's Church, Ardmore. The death has taken place of Annie Sweeney (née Mc Elroy), April 1 2026, 33 Garden City, Derry and formerly of Strabane. Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Mary, John, Gerard and Anne and sister of Nuala, Zita and the late Bridget, Peggy, Danny, Denis, John and Pat. Reposing at her home on Saturday (April 4) from 2.00pm. Funeral leaving her home on Monday (April 6) at 9.30am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Pennyburn at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in St Mar`s Cemetery, Melmount, Strabane. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, eleven grandchildren, sisters and family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am and on the morning of the funeral. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the Parish Webcam: https://www.churchservices.tv/pennyburn
