It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Sylvia Jones (née McMullan), April 10 2026, (peacefully) at Brooklands Crae Home, Magherafelt, dearly beloved wife of the late Sammy, 9 Brown Drive, Maghera, much loved and devoted mother of Victor and Stephen, loving granny of Jolene, Gary, Lauren, Brian, Megan, Jack and Caitlyn, cherished great-grandmother of Jake, Matthew, Chloe, Josh and Bobby and dearest sister of the late Victorene. Francis (Francie) McFadden, 57 Elm Grove, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Francis (Francie) McFadden, April 10 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Veronica, loving father of Martin, Samuel, Kevin and Bernadette, father-in-law of Caitlin, Michelle, Collette and Don,a much loved grandfather, great-grandfather and dear brother of Redmond, Kevin, Mary, Anne, Pius and the late Jimmy, Oliver, Carmel, Tony and Margaret. Francis will be reposing in his home, 57 Elm Grove, on Monday and Tuesday from 1.00pm – 8.00pm. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 1.20pm for 2o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Annie Shiels (née Nelis), 4 Abbey House, Little Diamond, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Shiels (née Nelis), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on April 12 2026, Late of 4 Abbey House, Little Diamond and formerly of Fosters Terrace, Lecky Road. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Devoted mother of John, Charlie, Adrian, Paul, Danny, Jackie and the late Marie. Dearest mother-in-law of Karen, Linda, Rebecca, Lorraine, Ann, Solly and Mark. A much loved granny and great-granny to all of her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A dear sister to all of her brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends. Annie’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 4 Abbey House, Little Diamond from 12noon today (Monday, April 13). Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, April 15 at 11:20am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of John (Ivan) Stokes, April 11 2026 Peacefully at his home 6 Shearwater Way, Clooney, (surrounded by his loving family in his 78th year) much loved husband of Anne, devoted dad of Heather, Lisa and Jayson, loving father-in-law of Terri, adored granda of Zara, Nyah, Alice and Jayson, dearest brother of Dessi, Hilary and the late Sandra. Service of Thanksgiving in his late home on Wednesday, April 15 at 11.00am, followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery.
