Aoife Boyle, 18 Cherry Drive, Eglinton

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Aoife Boyle, April 15 2026, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, cherished and beautiful daughter of Tanya and the late Martin, leaving a deep void in the hearts of all who loved her.  Now reunited with her loving daddy Martin and her Burke and Boyle grandparents.  Adored and devoted sister to Patrick, with whom she shared a special and unbreakable bond that will remain with him always. Aoife will be reposing in her home, 18 Cherry Drive, Eglinton, BT47 3US, on Thursday and Friday from 11.00am - 10.00pm.  Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.20am for 11o'clock Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Aoife will be forever loved and deeply missed by her heartbroken and devoted mother Tanya, whose world she was, and by Tanya’s loving partner Rob, who cared for Aoife with so much kindness; her loving brother Patrick; her dear aunties Tina, Patricia, and Emma; all her cousins, whom she loved so dearly; her extended family; and a wide circle of friends. Her gentle nature, bright smile, and kind heart touched so many, and her memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. Forever loved, never forgotten.

 

Carmel Cassidy (née Watkins), 15 Grainan Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Carmel Cassidy (née Watkins), April 13 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Denis (Ding) Cassidy, loving mother of Paul, Julie, Kieran, Claire, Catherine, Mary and Michael, mother-in-law of Paddy, Gerard, Damien and the late Johno, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Rosemary, Barney, Pauline, David, Cathy, James, Veronica and the late Matt. Carmel will be reposing in her home, 15 Grainan Park, from 12noon - 10.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral from there on Friday at 11.15am for 12o'clock Requiem Mass in St Columba's Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Funeral arrangements for the late Anna Climie (née McErlean), Died April 15 2026 (Kilrea, Portglenone and Greenlough), Peacefully at the Marina Care Home, beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Thomas (Patricia), Jean Totten (Gerry), Ann Doherty (Henry), Robert, Mary (Ivan) and James (Dolores) and much adored Granny of Karen, Colleen, Aidan, Jessie, Henry, Alana, Sharon, Teresa, Robert, Anna, Amanda, Caroline, James and the late Peter. Daughter of the late Charles and Sarah McErlean and dear sister of the late Charles, Alice and Mary. Everyone welcome to call at McKiernan & Sons, Funeral Home (45-47 Maghera Street, Kilrea. Reverend Canon W. Brian Johnston, Brookhill House, Coleraine

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Reverend Canon W. Brian, April 13 2026, peacefully at Brookhill House, Coleraine, dearly loved husband of Lyn; much loved father of Chris, Steve, and Ruth, brother of Barbara, and father-in-law of Lolly, Liz, and Parham; adored granddad of Max, Lola, Elsie, Nilo, and Teo. Service of Thanksgiving in Macosquin Parish Church on Thursday at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of the late Frank McVey (The Loup), April 14 2026, beloved husband of Eileen (nee McErlean) and loving father of Frances (Dermott McElmeel), Elaine (Dennis Nugent), John (Geraldine), Frank, Sarah (Peter Tolan), Paula (Connor Diamond) and Orla (Deaglan O’Reilly), devoted grandfather of Sinéad, Declan, Ruairí, Méabh, Cormac, Maria, Daniel, Thomas, Pearse, Sarah Maryse, Eoin, Áine, Fiadh, Connán and Aoife May. Son of the late Matthew and Sarah and dear brother of Josephine Doris, Tam and the late Sean, Philomena Lavery and Patricia Lavery. Funeral from his home, 18 Rogully Road, The Loup BT45 7TP on Friday, April 17 at 11.00am for 12.00noon Requiem Mass in Church of St Patrick The Loup, via webcam st-patricks-roman-catholic-church - MCN interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Martin Mullan, Freiburg Germany (Formerly of Derry)

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin Mullan, peacefully in Freiburg, Germany on April 13 2026. Formerly of 8 Malin Gardens and 21c Linsfort Drive. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of Kersten. Devoted daddy of Laura-Mary. Loving Opa of Iva-Mary. Precious son of the late Paddy and Mary. A much loved brother of Christy, Eugene, Marion and the late Patsy (Paddy). A much loved uncle and brother-in-law. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends both in Ireland and Germany.
