Man charged with assaulting police and drug-related offences to appear in court

The man is due to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court today, 16 April, charged with the following offences: two counts of assault on police, one count of resisting police, possession of a Class B controlled drugĀ and possession of a Class C controlled drug

A 34-year-old man has been charged with assault on police and drug-related offences following his arrest in the Strand Road area of Derry on Wednesday afternoon, 15 April. 
He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court today, 16 April, charged with the following offences: two counts of assault on police, one count of resisting police, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class C controlled drug.   
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
