The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wintry showers bringing a risk of ice for Derry.
The warning, which was issued on Wednesday morning, covers all of Northern Ireland, especially in the west and north, from 6.00pm this evening until 10.00am on Thursday.
The forecaster says wintry showers will continue this evening in many places before becoming more confined to western counties later in the night. This will bring a risk of icy patches, especially on untreated surfaces.
In the Republic of Ireland, Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for snow and ice for counties Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo, from 5.00pm on Wednesday until 11.00am on Thursday.
