ARC Fitness Founder, Gary Rutherford, has been short-listed for Nurse of the Year
Founder of ARC Fitness, Gary Rutherford, has been nominated and subsequently short-listed for Nurse of the Year at the RCN Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year Awards 2022.
The RCN Nursing Awards celebrate the incredible contributions to outstanding patient care and are open to all UK nurses, midwives, health visitors, nursing students and nursing support workers.
Over the past 26 years, the awards have recognised innovation and excellence in nursing practice.
Speaking of his shock and delight, Gary said: " I only received word of the nomination on Friday via email.
"It was a very pleasant surprise. The RCN awards are an excellent showcase to celebrate the many outstanding nurses out there that go above and beyond, caring for people in their chosen field.
"To even receive a nomination for the work undertaken at ARC in a professional capacity, let alone get shortlisted, is just absolutely fantastic."
Gary will attend a judging day at the Royal College of Nursing in Belfast, on Monday April 4 2022 to deliver a presentation.
This will determine who goes through to the awards ceremony on Thursday June 16 2022 at the Culloden Hotel.
