Martine Mulhern - retiring as principal of St Cecilia's College
One of Derry's best known and highly-respected head teachers has announced her retirement.
Martine Mulhern, principal of St Cecilia's College, is to leave the post she has held for over 10 years.
Announcing her leaving, Ms Mulhern said it had been 'the privilege of my life' to have led the all-girl Creggan school.
She added: “It is, therefore, with a heavy heart that I give notice of my intention to retire."
Under her leadership, St Cecilia's won a number of highly prestigious awards.
