EcoLive: Green finger success for Derry pupils

Green fingers for pupils of Naíscoil & Gaelscoil Éadain Mhóir

Naíscoil & Gaelscoil Éadain Mhóir pupils, parents and staff have started the year off with green fingers and green toes.

The school has been busy promoting transport which will help reduce costs of fuel for families at this time.

They have also been promoting healthy eating and the benefits of having a vegetable plot.

This programme will roll out in the months ahead with each class taking ownership of a bed in the garden.

The school aims to support families in whatever way they can and recognise that increasing costs can cause increased levels of stress.

They also organised a uniform swap shop during the summer months and a halloween costume swap shop which was greatly appreciated by all in the school community.

The school is now planning a Christmas jumper swap shop for November.

The school places great value on ensuring pupils make realistic but dynamic change, creating positive impacts for our planet now.
