Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on series of historical drug charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of historical drug charges.

Jonathan Coups (37) of the Station B&B, Northland Road in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He is charged with possessing cannabis and possessing cannabis with intent to supply on November 26 2015.

He is also charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine December 30 2014 and also being concerned in the offer to supply cannabis to another on November 20 2015.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

Coups said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 19 and released on bail.
