Council wants to meet LUH to explore projects

Number of options to be explored

Donegal County Council has been asked to arrange a meeting with Letterkenny University Hospital with a view to exploring Capital Investment Projects through the Shared Island Unit and report back to councillors on this matter.

The council response added that Letterkenny University Hospital may wish to partner directly with the relevant health agencies in Northern Ireland such as Altnagelvin Hospital to further develop cross-border capital investment projects, similar to the approach already adopted in the Third Level Education sector, where the Atlantic Technological University in Donegal engages directly with the relevant educational bodies in Northern Ireland to explore partnerships and opportunities that would benefit the North West City Region.
