Donegal Hospice is seeking planning permission for an extension

Donegal Hospice has lodged a planning application for the erection of an extension.

The planned extension to the existing hospice building in Knocknamona, Letterkenny is to house four additional single patient wards. Connection to the existing sewer and all associated site works are included in the application.

A decision is due by February 17.

Submissions must be made no later than January 27.

Donegal Hospice opened in February 2003 and has been a haven for palliative care patients and their families since then.

The service has been expanded to include Hospice Day Care and bereavement support.

The website donegalhospice.ie provides more information on the full range services and supports offered by the hospice.
