Sad passing of popular Glenfin publican Charlie McGlynn

The Reelin Bar - Teac Tábaírne Án Ríleán

There is a deep sense of sadness in Glenfin and indeed throughout East Donegal and beyond this afternoon following the news of the sad passing in the Donegal Hospice of popular publican Charlie McGlynn of Garvan, Cloghan.

He ran the Reelin Bar - Teac Tábaírne Án Ríleán for many years and before that McGlynn's Bar at Glenfin Street, Ballybofey.

Charlie is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Ann, sons, Joe, Jim, Adrian, Cathal and Martin; grandchildren Jodie, Kaine, Luke, James, Shauna, Joel and Aron. Charlie's close friend John Farley, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose at his late residence tomorrow Thursday, January 26. Requiem Mass Saturday, January 28 at 11am in 'Our Lady of Perpetaul Seccour', Glenfin, with interment afterward in Cill Mhuire Cemetery, Glenfin.

Rosary nightly at 9pm. Family time from 10pm to 11am, and on the morning of the funeral. Family Flowers only. Donations if desired to the Donegal Hospice to any family member or Marley Funeral Directors.
