A man has appeared in court charged with assault causing harm to a Garda in Bundoran.
Liam Ward, aged 44 and with an address at Westend, Bundoran was brought before a sitting of Tubbercurry District Court on Wednesday.
Ward is charged that, at Lidl, Bundoran, on January 23, 2023, he assaulted Garda Darren Norman causing him harm.
The offence is contrary to Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
Ward was also charged with being intoxicated in a public place at the same location on the same date, an offence contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order Act), 1994.
Evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of the accused was given in court.
Ward was bailed to appear before the court at a later date.
