Car stolen in Ballybofey found burnt out

Gardai are appealing for information after a car, which was stolen in Ballybofey, was found burnt out

A car stolen from a house in Ballybofey at the weekend was found burnt out on Sunday night.

The black Renault Clio was stolen from a house at Glenview Park on Donegal Road, Ballybofey after 8pm on Sunday, February 12.

The registration of the car was 06-DL-12855, Garda have confirmed.

The vehicle was later located at Burn Rock, Killygordon at 10.30pm on fire.

The car had been set alight and was completely destroyed by the fire.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who observed the car in question out on the roads between those times to contact Gardaí.

“We appeal to residents in Glenview Park to contact Gardaí if they seen or heard anything that on that date that might assist with our investigation.

“If anybody travelled in the area of Burn Rock (Stranorlar Road out of Killygordon) between 9.30pm and 10.30pm who had a dash cam, we would be interested in speaking to them also.

“Gardaí may be contacted in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 in relation to this investigation.”
