5th Avenue NYC comes to Glenties

Muriel Tate and Jesse Kiplinger played by Hannah McGuinness and Andy Malone meet up as old flames flames, what can go wrong?

If it's drama you want, then Glenties is the place to be.

Glenties Drama Group are back on the boards with their production of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 in Glenties Community Centre at 8pm nightly.

Over three acts, the play follows the fate of three separate couples who book into Suite 719 in the glitzy Plaza Hotel, New York. All are there for special occasions but will all go to plan for them?

First staged in New York in 1968 it brings the audience back to a time when the battle of the sexes was viewed in a different light.

The play gives us an insight into attitudes to male and female roles in the late 60s. Relationships change with the passage of time for the couples and the ensuing drama brings fun and tinges of regret and sadness.

Come along and enjoy a slice of New York life.

Tickets may be booked on (087) 9038263 or purchased in The Cope Glenties or on the door, all cash, please.
