Traffic diversions and appeal for extra care on the roads for Bundoran 10

Motorists on the Bundoran bypass are asked to be mindful of participants and to drive with caution

As a result of the Bundoran 10 event which happens this weekend, there will be a number of traffic diversions:

Friday evening – March 3 – 5km run:

Runners will start from outside Waterworld on Atlantic Way at 7.30pm. There will be a temporary road closure in order to facilitate this. The route will go from there towards Astoria Road, circle the promenade, then along Sea Road, Tullan Strand, Roguey Walk finishing at the Salty Shell Cafe.

Saturday morning - March 4 - 10 mile run:

There will be a temporary road closure on Main Street Bundoran from approximately 10.45am until 11.15am to facilitate the start of the 10 mile race from outside the Allingham Arms. The closure will be from the junction of Main Street /Church Road as far as Tullaghan Roundabout. Gardaí will be operating a diversion. Traffic will also be stopped from coming into Bundoran from the Tullaghan Roundabout.

Runners are expected to be on the Bundoran Bypass (northbound) from approximately 11.30am to 12.30pm – motorists coming from the Sligo direction towards Donegal are asked to exercise extreme caution at these times and to offer as much support to the participants as they can!
