A great example showing how development work has transformed the Drumoghill area
Cash from a Donegal County Council fund has transformed an area outside Letterkenny into a vibrant community hub that benefits the entire community.
Since 2019, Drumoghill F.C. has availed of support from the council's Development Fund Initiative and has continued to invest this money into the development of facilities that have been required.
"These have included our second pitch (with floodlights), secure pathways around the main pitch and restoration of the area around our parish mass rock with safe pathways to access it.
"None of this would have happened without the help of the people that have supported our fundraising or the assistance of our local authority and we would again like to express our gratitude to everyone," a spokesperson said.
The work has provided local parishioners with safe and easy access to the Mass Rock and opened up new possibilities for their underage soccer teams.
"Much has been done, but we have a lot more work planned for the years ahead that will continue to benefit our local community, and we wish to thank everyone for their support to date, added the spokesperson.
