Letterkenny town takes first place on Airbnb list
Letterkenny has topped the ranks in Airbnb’s top 10 most popular Irish staycation destinations. The latest list unveils the most popular staycation destinations for Irish people using the service and Letterkenny tops the list.
In a recent statement from Airbnb ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer for the vacation rental company, it stated that Letterkenny in Donegal was the top trending domestic destination for those in Ireland looking for a holiday closer to home.
Ranking in second and third place then was Inishmore in Galway and Rosslare in Wexford respectively, while Dingle in Kerry and Schull in Cork rounded out the top five.
Donegal and Kerry were the counties in Ireland with the most destinations in the top 10, both ranking two areas, Tralee in Kerry placed eighth, while Bundoran in Donegal placed 10th.
Also on the list was Enniscrone in Sligo, Kilkee in Clare and Tramore in Waterford.
