Poet Máire Dinny Wren wons yet another award

Máire Dinny Wren

Award winning poet and author, Máire Dinny Wren of Coshclady has won a poetry competition which was organised by the south Dublin libraries. Her winning entry was called Loirg.  

Máire, née Ní Ghallchóir, was born on the bank of the Clady river under the shadow of Errigal. Two collections of her poems were published, Ó Bhile go Bile by Coiscéim, in 2011, and the book Tine Ghealain, Eabhlóid 2019 which was selected for Gradam Uí Shuilleabháin at Oireachtas na Gaeilge in 2020.

A collection of her short stories were published in the book Go mbeinnse choice saor Eabhlóid 2016. One of her stories, Sámhnas Shábha, was published in the book Go dtí an La Bán which was published by Eabhlóid 2016. 

A number of her poems have been published in magazines like, Comhar, Duillí Éireann, Feasta, An tUltach and in Poetry Ireland Review.
