A fundraiser in memory of the late Rory Greene with all funds going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust is expected to take place on June 24 between 1pm and 4pm.
Rory Greene, Ardsbeg, tragically lost his life following a car crash in Australia on November 29, 2022. The father-of-three Rory was born on Ardsbeg, went to school in Derryconnor, attended Pobailscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola before attending the then LYIT.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust helped his family during a very difficult time. It is hoped the seaside event will go some way to show the family's appreciation for the work carried out by the charitable organisation at the time.
On June 24, children can enjoy activities on bouncy castles kindly sponsored by Donegal bouncy castles and there will be games on the beach kindly organised by Marie Muldowney.
People can also enjoy a walk to the point. The Nora Kavanagh's Circus School are kindly hoping to join in the event as well. DJ Dave has kindly offered to play some music and there will also be food stalls at the event.
A raffle will take place on the day with the promise of great prizes. A fundraising page has been set up by the family and if you would like to donate, you can do so by clicking here.
