The Tir Chonaill Stone Festival truly is a gift for any community that hosts it. Donegal Town was the venue this year, and as a result of one of the festival workshops, it has a beautiful new stretch of dry stone wall in Upper Main Street. Nearby Mountcharles has also been enhanced as a result of the festival, with a gorgeous new stone sculpture carved by Korean stone masons unveiled at the pier. Photographer Philip Mulligan was on hand to check out the fantastic work being carried out over the weekend.
