Sarah Doherty
The Lakehouse Nursing Home was the setting for Sarah Doherty's milestone 105th birthday earlier this week.
Sarah is originally from Kinnelargy in Downings.
Her two daughters, Mary Josephine, Nuala alongside friends and staff of the nursing home were on hand to join in the celebrations.
Sarah's 105 years sees her being one of the oldest people in the county. To date, Sarah has received 5 commemorative medals from the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
Everyone enjoyed the wonderful celebrations at the nursing home. Hundreds of people have wished the Downings native a very happy birthday on social media.
