Ballyshannon courthouse
A man has been charged in relation to a serious assault in the Sliabh Liag area.
The man, who is aged in his 30s, will be brought before a special sitting of Ballyshannon District Court at 4pm this afternoon.
The man was arrested in the Letterkenny area on Thursday morning.
He was taken to Ballyshannon Garda Station, where he was questioned and later charged.
The investigation is linked to the discovery of a body in the water off Sliabh Liag last week.
The man is one of the two people previously arrested and released without charge.
