An urgent search is underway for a donkey mare to nurse a foal who has been rejected by his mother.
A spokesperson for Donegal Donkey Sanctuary said: “He is in urgent need of a foster mother.
“If someone has a mare who has just lost her foal or maybe has a very quiet mare who would allow a second to feed could you please contact us as soon as possible.”
