Met Éireann forecasts heavy rain and possible isolated thunderstorms this afternoon

There will be some bright and sunny spells early this morning accompanied by some scattered showers throughout the day. The afternoon will be rainy, turning heavy in places with possible spot flooding and isolated thunderstorms.

Humid with highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Becoming breezy later too with freshening southwesterly winds.

Tonight will be mild, humid and breezy with further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy and persistent at times. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees Celsius in fresh west to southwest winds.
