All systems go for today's Finn Valley Vintage Club Tractor Run and Static Show

Registration takes place from 12 noon followed by an auction and raffle at 2pm. The Tractor Run will start at 2.30pm.

All systems go for today's Finn Valley Vintage Club Tractor Run and Static Show

A variety of tractors and farming equipment will be on show at the event

It's all system go for the organisers of today's Finn Valley Vintage Club's pre-1980s Tractor Run and Static Show which will be held at Red Hugh's GAA grounds at Monellan, Crossroads, Killygordon (F93 YR89).

 

A large crowd of enthusiasts and participants is expected to travel from all over the county and beyond for this event.

 

Registration takes place from 12 noon followed by an auction and raffle at 2pm. The Tractor Run will start at 2.30pm.

 

Items for auction include a load of turf sponsored by JJ Gallen; a load of timber sponsored by Finn Valley Harvesting; two  600 x 16 complete wheels for a 135 tractor sponsored by Ulster Tyre Centre Stranorlar; 40 bags of Turf sponsored by Charlie Gallagher and 20 litres engine oil sponsored by F Scanlon.

 

They will also be offering a plough which needs restoration work and is sponsored by Alexander's.

 

The raffle prizes include €100, €50, vouchers from Foys, Lawnes' Motor Factors, Glenside Stores, SuperValu and more.

 

Tickets for this will be on sale on the day.

It costs €20 per tractor and the tractor run will travel via Lismullaghduff, Meenreagh, Tieveclogher, Trusk Lough, Knock, Glencovitt, Edenmore and back to the Crossroads and to the Red Hugh's clubhouse for refreshments. There is also a shorter run on offer if participants so desire.
