The students are hoping for a lift to Sligo, or to Ballyshannon where they can catch a bus
Two Ukrainian students living in the Rossnowlagh area have secured places in ATU Sligo.
But they are having difficulty in sourcing transport as the current public transport facilities will not get them to Sligo in time for morning classes.
Donegal Local Development Company (DLDC) is supporting the students with the practicalities of taking up their places.
A spokesperson said: “We are hoping that someone living in the area who is travelling into Sligo daily, or to Ballyshannon where they could catch the 7.30am bus, would give them a lift. They are willing to contribute to fuel costs.
“It could be someone travelling to work, or other students who are driving to the ATU.”
Anyone who feels they could help the students to continue their education which was disrupted by the war in their homeland can contact Joanne from DLDC on 086 1026554.
