Rallying colleagues will pay a touching tribute to Dunfanaghy rally driver Paddy Joe Brogan on Thursday.
Paddy Joe died suddenly on Saturday last, August 19.
Late of Rockhill, Dunfanaghy, he was the son of Neily and Kathleen Brogan and is also survived by his brother, Neil Martin.
The popular young rally driver competed at this year’s Donegal International Rally. Driving a Honda Civic, with Patrick Gallagher as navigator, he finished tenth in the junior rally.
In 2022, he finished 16th alongside Christopher McMullen and in 2018 was 12th with Kevin Doherty calling the notes.
Paddy Joe’s funeral takes place on Thursday morning at 11am in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Competitors and Donegal Motor Club members will form a guard of honour with their helmet between the church and the graveyards.
The Donegal Motor Club said it was ‘saddened’ at Paddy Joe’s passing. They said: “May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.”
