Motorist clocked at 160km/h in Letterkenny faces court date

A motorist caught driving at 160km/h in the Letterkenny area has been charged to appear in court.

Gardai from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit made the detection on Wednesday.

The driver was clocked at 160km/h on a road governed by a 100km/h speed limit.

Another motorist detected at 138km/h in a 100km/h speed zone was issued with a fixed charge penalty notice.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Save lives. Slow down.”
