A new walking/running group is starting next week in Bundoran for everyone in the Community, with the goal of fostering friendship and solidarity with migrants and refugees.
Manager of the Bundoran Community Centre Danielle Carty said:
"We are teaming up with the national charity Sanctuary Runners, with the assistance of Paddy Donoghue and Dermot McDermot.
"The idea of this project is to enable Irish residents to run alongside, and in solidarity with migrants, refugees and other nationalities thereby fostering friendship and positivity between all."
The first walk/run will take place at 7pm on Thursday September 7 at the Bundoran Community Centre. Just turn up, there is no registration required and there will also be tea and coffee on offer, for participants.
The Sanctuary runners is a national organisation bringing communities together through sport including migrants, local people, refugees and asylum seekers.
