Huge crowds turned out for day one of Oakfest, a two-day music festival in the grounds of Oakfield Park in Raphoe.
Saturday’s headline act was the queen of rock and roll, Suzi Quatro. The American singer-songwriter has sold over 55 million records and delighted revellers on Saturday evening in Raphoe.
Oakfest organisers promised a bigger and better version in 2023 and they didn’t disappoint with a top-class line-up on two stages.
The Bay City Rollers, known worldwide having built up a global fanbase in the 1970s, were also in town and joined by The Daby K project and the recently reformed Wailin Banshees.
Boyzlife, Lisa McHugh and Onóir - the Donegal band who have been making real waves this year - were among the highlights on Sunday.
Locals such as 9 Foot Lizzards, Rac’s Roll DiG!, Beefsteak Dancers, Arn and George Houston joined Rory & The Island to make Oakfest another success story.
