The death has occurred of Michael Gibbons, Beltra Isle of Doy, Clonmany.
The peaceful death has occurred of Michael Gibbons, Beltra, Isle of Doagh, Clonmany at his residence surrounded by his family. Beloved Husband of Helen. Much loved Father of Sheila, Mari, Lily, Catriona and Anne Michelle. Brother of Mary, Sheila and the late Lily. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his late residence, with funeral from there Monday morning at 10.20am going to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany for Requiem Mass at 11am, with interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Sharlene Gill, Buncrana

The peaceful death has occurred at her home, surrounded by her loving family, of Sharlene Gill, Lisfannon, Buncrana.

Cherished daughter of John and Breedge Gill, loving sister of William and PJ, cousin Shauna. Sharlene will be sadly missed by her Mum and Dad, Brothers, Sisters in law Shirley and Arlene, her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and the wider family circle.

Sharlene ‘s remains are reposing at her home. Funeral on Monday September 18, leaving at 10am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhilll with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Funeral can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill 

Vincent Carron, Letterkenny 

The death has occurred of Vincent Carron, “Fatima”, Glencar, Letterkenny (F92 D7AC), predeceased by his wife Mary. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughters Geraldine McFadden (Falcarragh) and Fidelma (Letterkenny), sons Brendan (London) and Donal (Headford), son-in-law Danny, daughter-in-law Deborah, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his late residence on Saturday September 16 with Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday September 17. going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 12noon Mass which can be viewed online by using the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Patricia Duffy, Letterkenny / Derry
The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital on Friday September 15, 2023 of Patricia Duffy, formerly from 50 Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny and Creggan Heights, Derry. 

Deeply missed by her loving sons and daughters Willie, Jimmy, Margarette, Wendy, Keith, Seamus, Donnamarie, Galvin, Roy and Emma, her sister Siobhan and brother Sean, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Patricia is predeceased by her husband Jimmy.

Patricia’s remains will be reposing at her daughter Emma’s residence at 32 Céanann View, Carnamuggagh, Mountain Top Letterkenny F92 C79E on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September from 12noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Monday, September 18 at 10.15am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny

Interment afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.  House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Eamon Kelly, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Eamon Kelly, Sessiagh-Kettle, Pettigo, F94 VW22. Suddenly, beloved husband of Ann, much loved father of Michael, Amanda, Shane & Helen, adored grandad to TJ, Shea, Rian, Ruby-rose, Logan, Finn, Roman, Aiden, & James.

Eamon will repose at his late residence on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon until 9pm each day. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's church, Pettigo on Monday at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, sons In-law, daughters in-law, grandchildren, brothers Tommy and Willie, and sisters Eileen, Mamie and Bridie. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Bridie, and brother John. relatives friends, and very dear neighbors.

People attending the wake are asked to enter by Lough-Derg Road and exit by Lettercran Road. 

Kevin McLaughlin, Fahan

The death has occurred of Kevin 'Dodley' McLaughlin in Boston on September 6, 2023. Kevin's remains will be reposing at the family home in Ballinahone, Fahan on Saturday,  September 16 from 11am.

Removal from the family home at 10.15am on Monday morning, September 18, to St Mura's Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11.00am.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, September 20, at 11am in St Mura's Cemetery.

Alan Hemmings, Dublin and Dungloe

The death has occurred of Alan Hemmings, Ardagh Park, Blackrock, Dublin and Dungloe, Donegal, on September 7, 2023 aged 97.

Pioneering hand-weaver, jazz enthusiast, memoirist (The Friendliness of Total Strangers - a Donegal Weaving Adventure), co-founder of Donegal Design (Croveigh, Donegal) 1951,  founder of hand-weaving venture and craft shop Studio in the Church (Login, Wales) 1977.

Beloved husband of Jane; father of Roger, Guy with wife Dorothy, and Louis with wife Liz; grandfather of Lawrence, with wife Dearbhla and Luke with partner, Ruby.

 

Evelyn Ferry, Sligo and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Evelyn Ferry (née Cooney) Marymount, Sligo Town, Sligo and Ballyshannon. Formerly West Port, Ballyshannon.

Predeceased by her brother Michael and sister Brighid. Peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo. Dearly loved wife of the late John.

Cherished mother of John. Sadly missed by her loving son, brother-in-law Denis Ferry, sister-in-law Thea Byrne, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home at Marymount from 5pm to 8pm Saturday. Removal from her home at 11.30am Sunday to the Nazareth House Chapel, Sligo to arrive for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Burial to follow in Sligo Cemetery. 

 

Rosaleen O’Donnell, Glenties

The death has occurred of Rosaleen O’Donnell, Kilraine, Glenties. Funeral mass on Monday morning at 11am in St Connell's Church, Glenties, with private burial.

 

Michael Hurst, Quigley's Point

The death has taken place in Dublin of Michael Hurst, Drung, Quigleys Point.

Michael’s remains are reposing at Liam Collins’ Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN where you are welcome to pay your respects on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm followed by removal to the family home.

House private please with family, friends and neighbours welcome.

Michael’s Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday, September 17 at 1.30pm in St Columba's Church, Drung, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Anna Farren, Shroove
  
The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Anna Farren, Upper Carrowtrasna, Shroove.

Reposing at her home.

Family time from 10pm to 12noon and on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday afternoon, September 17 at 2pm in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

 

Paddy Doherty, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Paddy Doherty, Rockytown, Buncrana and formerly of 16 St Columba’s Ave, Buncrana.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Breege, daughter’s Deirdre, Caroline and Trish, sons-in-law Liam and Eunan, grandchildren Olivia, Ben, Beth, Joseph and Lucy, brothers and sisters Neil, Angela, Willie and Bernie, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his residence on Saturday, September 16 until 10pm.

House private on Sunday and Monday, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, September 19 at 10.15am going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Daniel Harkin, Woodquarter, Cranford

The peaceful death has taken place in Donegal Hospice of Daniel Harkin, Woodquarter, Cranford.

Reposing at the residence of his daughter Catherine and John McCann, Kilmacrennan Road, Milford, F92 W3P0.

Funeral mass on Sunday, September 17, at 2pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coole, Cranford. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

The death has occurred of Ted Ponsonby, Glencar Scotch, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by his parents Molly and Terry and brother Paul. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maryline Brument and cherished daughter Sarah, brothers Don and Terry, sisters Carmel and Anius, extended family, neighbours and friends. Maryline’s family Denise Brument (Mother), predeceased by Marius Brument (Father), sisters Sylvie Brument, Annie Brument, Jerome Fisset (brother-in-law) and Florence Brument,

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) from 2pm to 10pm on Sunday, September 17 where you are invited and most welcome to a celebration of Ted’s life.

Private Cremation on Monday, September 18 in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Patricia McCallion, (née O'Donnell), Carndonagh

The death has taken place at Altnagelvin Hospital of Patricia McCallion, (née O'Donnell), Magherarnett, Carndonagh. She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Paddy, daughters, Noreen, Mary, Josephine and Siobhán, son, Patrick, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and beloved grandchildren: Cara, Shay, Rían, Nóra and Nollaig, brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews, her extended family and friends. May Patricia rest in peace.

Reposing at her family home in Magherarnett.

Removal on Sunday, September 17 at 10.30am for Mass at the Sacred Heart Church in Carndonagh at 11am. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Pádraig (Padaí) Mac Fhearraigh, Benbradagh Gardens, Belfast and formerly of Donegal, died peacefully at hospital after a short illness .

Beloved partner of Bernie, father of Adrian, Cordelia, Donal and Máire, father-in-law of Sandy and Claudia, loving grandfather of Breandán, devoted brother of Anne, Paul, Briege and the late Brian and Margaret. 

Pádraig's remains will repose at Healy Brothers Chapel of Repose with viewing on , Sunday 10am to 4pm and Monday from 10am.

Pádraig will then leave on Monday at 1.30pm to arrive at St Mary's Chapel Lane for 2.30pm Requiem Mass continuing afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for 5.20pm.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Marie Curie.

Philip McLaughlin (Barr), Manchester, England and formerly of Buncrana

The sudden death has occurred of Philip McLaughlin (Barr), Bury, Manchester, England formerly of Leophin, Linsfort, Buncrana.

Much loved Father of Tina, Janine and Philip, dearest brother of Rose, Helen and Brigid and the late John, Pauline and Mary.

Funeral to take place on Thursday, September 21 at St Bernadette’s Church, Whitefield.

Eoin Brosnan, Drimaghey, Bruckless

The death has occurred suddenly in Melbourne, Australia of Eoin Brosnan, Drimaghey, Bruckless.

Dearly beloved son of Dermot and Maria, brother to Aidan (Roscommon) and Emmett (Meenabrock). Also missed by his sisters-in-law Edel and Becky, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family request privacy at this difficult time.
