Ahead of Patrick Kielty’s first Late Late Country Special, the search engine specialists at Digital Funnel can reveal that Letterkenny is Ireland's most Country music-obsessed town.
Letterkenny came out on top, with a score of 484 out of 700, followed by Monaghan town, Longford town, Coolaney and Cavan rounding out the top five most interested towns in Ireland.
Counties Dublin and Kildare tie for the title of Most Country Music Obsessed County, with seven towns each on the long list, closely followed by County Cork and County Meath, both on six. Tied for third place are Counties Tipperary and Wicklow with five towns apiece. Donegal has two.
At the other end of the scale, Ranafast is the least interested town in Ireland when it comes to Country Music, only registering an 18/700 score. Portarlington, Caragagh, Groyne and Leixlip are some of the other least interested towns.
