People urged to let council know if they get an obnoxious smell in Killybegs

Members of the community are asked to make a formal report to Donegal Council in order to help get the issue resolved

Members of the Killybegs community are being urged to formally report the foul smell that has been plaguing the town on and off the last few years.

A spokesperson for Killybegs Community Council took to Facebook recently to say: "The obnoxious smell back on the Shore Road today.

"The Community Council have made representations to Donegal County Council about this but they need to hear from the community. Complaints need to be logged!!

"Please report it to Donegal County Council by calling the main line 074 9153900 ask to make an environmental complaint."

People can also make a report at www.donegalcoco.ie  in the 'Contact Us' section.

Please ask other people to do this also," the spokesperson continued.

"This is going on too long."
