Donegal manager Jim McGuinness with then Tyrone manager Mickey Harte after the 2013 Ulster SFC clash
Jim McGuinness’s second tenure as manager of Donegal will see a renewal of his rivalry with Mickey Harte in the Ulster SFC next year.
Donegal were drawn away to the back-to-back Ulster champions Derry, who Harte now manages, in the quarter-finals.
The winners of that last eight tie will then take on either Tyrone or, whoever comes through in the preliminary round, where Monaghan play Cavan.
The four teams involved in the Preliminary Round in the last two years - Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh and Tyrone - were excluded from the premlinary round of the draw.
The draw in full
Preliminary Round

Fermanagh v Armagh

Donegal, under McGuinness, played Harte's Tyrone in the Ulster SFC campaigns in 2011, 2012 and 2013, winning on all three occasions.
