Conwal Parish Hall in Letterkenny will be offering Christmas Day Dinner on-site for people on their own on Christmas Day.
Throughout Covide 19 they were unable to offer a sit-down meal, only deliveries. However, this year they are offering a sit-down meal and will also be doing deliveries and a meal on a plate for people who are unable to come into the venue. This is their 18th year offering a Christmas Day Dinner.
The purpose of the day is to help people who are living on their own to break through isolation and loneliness on the day, to provide company and celebration.
“We are currently taking names for volunteers for Christmas day," said one of the organisers, Kathy O’Connor. “If you have a spare couple of hours on the day please get in touch. We require drivers to help bring people to the venue and to bring them home. We also require drivers to help deliver dinners out in the community
Alternatively, if you wish to avail of a dinner or have any enquiries contact Kathy on 0868676565 please.
