Scoil Eoghain in Moville is to get one new mainstream classroom and one special education teacher support room

Two Donegal schools have had applications to build extensions approved by the Department of Education.

Scoil Eoghain in Moville and Cranford National School have had their applications approved under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.

The school building unit at the Department of Education has announced that the schools have had their applications approved under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme and can now proceed to tender.

Scoil Eoghain is to get one new mainstream classroom and one special education teacher support room, while Cranford National School is to get a new mainstream classroom.

Donegal TD and Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Charlie McConalogue welcomed the announcement.

"The extension to the schools in Moville and Cranford will be a huge help for the school communities and will assist the school offerings in both areas,” he said.

"I commend the efforts of the school principals, staff, boards of management, and parents for their work to date with these projects.”
