The death has occurred of

Sadie Russell, Lifford and Gaoth Dobhair

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Sadie Russell, née Nic Suibhne, 8 Ballyduff Park, Lifford, F93 A6CD and formerly Gaoth Dobhair. Sadie passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.

She is deeply missed by her husband Joe, daughters and sons Martina, Joe, Sheila, Georgina, Liam, Nollaig, Siobhan, Zara, James and Katie, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and all her extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence 8 Ballyduff Park F93 A6CD on Thursday from 11am to 10pm and Friday from 11am to 10pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from her late residence on Saturday morning at 10.20am going to St Patrick’s Church, Murlog for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on https://clonleighparish.com/webcam-watch-live/

Jim Doherty, Annagry

The death occurred at the Donegal Hospice, of James Doherty, Culacrick, Annagry, F94 C5K0, originally of Glasgow.

Predeceased by his parents Dan and Sarah Doherty. Sadly missed by his wife Sheila, daughter Annemarie and her partner Barry, son Neil, grandson Jamie, sister Anne Finn and her husband Peter, brother Neil Doherty and his partner Anne and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) on Thursday from 2pm until Rosary time at 8pm. Removal afterwards to the family home in Culacrick. House private to family, neighbours and friends only. 

Funeral Mass in St Mary's Star of the Sea Church,  Annagry on Saturday at 11am, interment afterwards in the new graveyard. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam and on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director's Facebook page https://bit.ly/3DoIMm

Robert Hegarty, Inch Island

The death has occurred at Altnagelvin Hospital of Robert Hegarty, Baylett, Inch Island.

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

His remains are reposing at his home on Thursday from 2pm. Family time please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Removal from his home on Saturday morning at 10.15am going to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Inch Island for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard. Requiem mass can be viewed on youtube parish of fahan.

Rowland Manthorpe, Teelin

The peaceful death has occurred of Rowland Manthorpe (Teelin) in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Sadly missed by his  loving family, friends and neighbours.

House strictly private.

Private cremation will take place in Lakelands crematorium Cavan on Thursday.

Thomas White, Mayo and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Thomas White, late of Knock, Co Mayo and formally of Portnason, Ballyshannon. He died peacefully after a short illness at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, Co Mayo.

Beloved brother of Ann and George, sister-in-law of Claire, loved uncle of Julie Ann, Kathryn, Ross and Gemma. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

A private cremation service took place on Wednesday at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 1pm in Dorrian's Imperial Hotel, Ballyshannon, with interment afterwards in St Anne's Churchyard.

Martin Travers, Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully of Martin Travers, Finadoose, Donegal PO, Donegal at Donegal Community Hospital, Donegal Town.

Much loved husband of Rosie, father of Enda (Dearbhla), Shane (Andrea), Cahill, Aoife, (Tommie) and Grainne. Sadly missed by his brothers Joseph, Liam (Nora), Eamon (Rita), Brian (Vivienne), sisters Mary (Lexi) and Noreen (Michael), grandchildren, Tom, Ollie, Bobby and Lilly, as well as extended family and friends. 

Wake continues at his late residence (Eircode F94 H4X7) on Thursday from 2pm until Rosary at 9pm. One way system in operation during wake times with entry via Finabanes and exit onto the Leghowney road. House private on Friday morning please.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11am in St Agatha’s Church, Clar with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe Doherty, Buncrana

The peaceful death has occurred of Joe Doherty (Owens) Tullydish, Buncrana.

Joe is predeceased by his wife Rose and will be sadly missed by his loving family Shaun, Ann, Patrick, Rosemary, Bredge, his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and his many friends.

Joe’s remains are reposing at his daughter Bredge Mc Elhinney’s residence at Aghilly, Buncrana.

Funeral from there on Thursday leaving at 10am going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Harry Mc Mahon, Milford 

The sudden death has occurred at his home of Harry Mc Mahon, Gortmacall, Milford.

Dear brother to Jean Johnston (Enniskillen) and the late Rev. Stewart, brother-in-law to Derek, and beloved uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Private burial on Thursday morning. There will be a Service of Thanksgiving on Thursday at 2pm in Milford Presbyterian Church. Everyone welcome.

Hugh Mc Gee, Gortahork 

The death has taken place, at his home, of Hugh Mc Gee (Hughie Mhaireáde), Fanaboy, Gortahork F92 N1N1.

Predeceased by his mother Grace and father Johnny, brothers John and Barney and sisters Margaret and Sarah. He is sadly missed by his wife Margaret, daughter Patricia, sons John, Paul, Brendan and Hughie, in-laws Josie, Valerie, Julie, Rose and Eileen, grandchildren Mark, Louise, Erin and Conor, sister Bríd Gannon and extended family and friends.

His remains reposing at his home with Rosary nightly at 8pm. House private after rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Jonathan Murray, Milford

The death has occurred of Jonathan Murray, 253 Lower Mount Marian, Milford.

Deeply regretted by his loving parents Martin and Martina, sisters Aisling and her partner Eddie, Hollie, Megan, granny Mary Connor, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at the family home.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Milford.

Maeve Faulkner, Donegal Town

The death has occurred peacefully at home of Maeve Faulkner, Tinnycahill, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by husband, Willie, she is sadly missed by her daughters Helen, Barbra, sons, Brendan and Andrew and her grandchildren and extended family. 

House private on Thursday morning please.

Remains will leave her late residence on Thursday morning at 10.30 am for Funeral Mass in St Agatha's Church, Clar at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining graveyard.
