Simon Reenan presents the Bronze Convenience Store of the Year (Mini) Award to XL Donegal Town, represented by Nicola McNulty, Donal Kelly and Agnes McNulty

XL Donegal Town, owned and operated by Nicola Martin, was this week presented with Bronze medal in the Convenience Store of the Year (mini) at the prestigious ShelfLife National C-Store Awards 2023.

Now in their 23rd year, the C-Store Awards are recognised as amongst the most prestigious business accolades for the convenience store sector and attracted Ireland’s top retailers and brands to the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire to attend the prestigious ceremony.

Simon Reenan presented the award to XL Donegal Town, based at Orchard Park, who were represented by Nicola McNulty, Donal Kelly and Agnes McNulty.

Together with returning master of ceremonies Marty Whelan, ShelfLife welcomed the highest ever attendance at the event, with more than 440 guests present from across the retail industry. A total of 38 awards were presented, celebrating the industry’s finest stores and people in a diverse range of categories.

Congratulating the Donegal store, Paul Bealin, XL Sales Director said: “I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Nicola and all the staff in XL Donegal on receiving this prestigious award. The store and staff are very deserving of this industry accolade and we are very proud of their achievements.”

The ShelfLife C-Store Awards were set up to acknowledge stores and individuals that set the standards for the industry.
