Students from Abbey Vocational School, Donegal Town, have gained work experience at global healthcare leader Abbott.

As part of Abbott’s TY STEM Program, 12 students from the school spent two weeks working at the company’s diabetes care business in Donegal.

As part of Abbott’s 2030 Sustainability Plan, the company is committed to supporting the diverse innovative workforce of tomorrow. Abbott Diabetes Care in Donegal launched its Transition Year (TY) STEM Program in October. The two-week development program is designed to inspire the students to consider studies and careers in STEM.
