Detective Gardaí travelled to Dublin over the weekend and they arrested the man in connection with thefts in Letterkenny.
The thefts occurred from shops in mid-September earlier this year. The man was detained and interviewed and he was then charged to appear at an upcoming sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Garda enquiries will continue regarding these incidents.
