A GoFundMe has been set up to help with the restoration of Teach Tessie following a fire at the premises last week.

Coiste forbartha Mín na Leice are organising a fundraising night in Leo's Tavern this coming Friday, December 15 to show their support. There will be donation boxes at the door and brilliant local artists providing music.

“We would love to see you all there. If you can't make the night, you can donate through the GoFundMe,” said Marie McClafferty on the GoFundMe, set up to assist Teach Tessie, which is located at Killindarragh, Meenaleck.

“As some of you may know, a fire broke out in our beloved Teach Tessie last week. As the news filtered through the community, many locals rallied to help Paul [Coyle] and Catherine with cleaning and repairs of the premises. Paul and Catherine go above and beyond to support the Community, now it's our turn to return the favour. Any donation would go long way no matter how big or small. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.”
