There is immense sadness in south Donegal with the passing of a husband and wife a day apart over Christmas.
Jackie McGettigan, Heatherville House, Benroe, Bruckless, passed away on Christmas Eve and his wife Ann McGettigan (née O'Farrell) sadly died on Christmas Day.
Sadly missed by their sons John, Noel and Pauric, daughters Jacquline, Linda and Deirdre, daughters in law, Jackie’s brothers Junior and Michael, sisters Maura, Ann and Margaret, Ann’s sister sisters Breezie, Mary and Jacinta, and their grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Both Jackie and Ann will be reposing at Mc Brearty's Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, from 4pm-7pm. Removal from their home on Wednesday to the Church of St. Joseph and St. Conal, Bruckless, for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St.Mary's Cemetery, Killybegs.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Northwest Hospice, Sligo and Killybegs Community Hospital.
