Here's every Donegal footballer involved in this year's Sigerson Cup

There is a healthy sprinkling of Donegal students - based both near and far - named in the panels for the upcoming Sigerson Cup.

The third-level competition gets underway in the second week of January, where ATU Donegal have been drawn away to last year’s runners-up in the opening round. Maxi Curran’s side will take on the University of Limerick on Wednesday, January 10.

Curran has named a 35-man panel for the competition, where last year they were pipped for a place in the knockout stages by Ulster University on a 2-11 to 1-13 scoreline in Ballinderry.

In all, there are 43 footballers from the county involved, with, outside of ATU Donegal, who have 29, Dublin City University possessing the most in four with Jamie Grant from Termon, Ross Marley of Glenfin, Downings’ Johnny McGroddy and St Eunan’s Shane O’Donnell all named.
