Cumann Forbartha - Na Dúchoraidh, Doochary-Tidy Towns has expressed its delight to announce the winners of its 2024 Doochary Photography competition.

All winning entries feature in its charity calendar for 2024 as funds from the sales of the calendar and postcard series, go back to fund small projects within the village.



Cumann Forbartha - Na Dúchoraidh, Doochary-Tidy Towns First place winner is Nicola McGovern of the Village Garda House - which features a lovely picture of the village in bloom.

Second place goes to villager Nataliia Zhukova with her wonderful and atmospheric photography and third place goes to the outstanding beauty of the photography of Brian McDonald.



“2024’s village theme is Accessibility/Acceptance- which means we will be focusing on making the village more accessible to all regardless of abilities, gender or culture- with a focus on health and well-being and cultural acceptance, expression and protecting local wildlife and the environment,” organisers said. “As a Gaeltacht area we will be working to first and foremost promote the Irish language, culture and heritage.”
